dessert wines

not much of wine connoisseurs, L. and i have been trying out dessert wines. curiosity sparked, i just googled "dessert wines" and here's a description of a good dessert wine (see website):

"German Beerenauslese (BA) and Trockenbeerenauslese (TBA) from the Mosel-Saar-Ruwer and Rheingau regions. They are made from nobly-rotted Riesling grapes. TBA is made from the most highly raisined grapes only and is outrageously sweet. Some say these are every bit as good as any Sauternes (including d'Yquem), and they are a lot rarer, since noble rot strikes Germany far less often than Sauternes."

Nobly-rotted. Right.

happy thoughts

after i made the last entry, i spent the rest of the night whinging away to L. who deduced that my misery had come from blogging and hence mishaply banned me from ever blogging. that was Monday night. two nights since and L. has lifted the blogging embargo on condition that she doesn't ever get whinged at cuz of it. we'll see.

happy thoughts... mmm. it doesn't get easy, i work all day and won't find happy thoughts in that. i have God, L., my family, good people, and a couple of cds i ordered on-line the other day:

1. calla - collisions
2. the constantines - tournament of hearts
3. shout out louds - howl howl gaff gaff
4. the warlocks - surgery
5. josh rouse - 1972
6. the standard - wire post to wire

hmmm. i guess happy thoughts are nice. compared to misery and whinging, they're rather mundane and unexciting, but nice.

burn burn

start.

burn burn. we live in a world that burns. every thing gets burnt. nothing that'll remain but charred remains. does that make sense? if it does, i guess we have something to talk about; and if we don't, hmm, futher seems forever try and i hope one day you'll understand. till then, burn burn (and i swear it won't get better).

in other news, i dashed around a foreign country in search of a certain burger, watched The Skeleton Key, which scared me in a good way, got me a dream dvd, and upset the one thing in my life that matters. yeah well, yeah. makes bad reality but sometimes it's the ones you love you hurt. i know you read this, and i will have you know that i love you. the weekend was fairly great, and we're going nowhere but closer.

stop.

Exploding Machines AKA and the reason is...

...i haven't the least interest in what i'm supposed to be doing at work, and the thought of starting a blog has lingered on my mind for awhile. and if things bug me enough, then i sort them out. it's also brilliantly cool to get the blog name of "Exploding Machines". It's the title of the promised 5th studio album by one of my favourite bands, EMBRACE. I can't wait for it to come out. It'll be great. You'll see all ye naysayers.

Welcome to my world.
